A product demonstration is more useful when it follows the situations your team will encounter. Watching an administrator scan once does not show whether employees understand departure steps or whether a report meets the reviewer’s needs.

Use these five scenarios during a ScanAttendance pilot. Keep the test small and authorized, and record the outcome rather than assuming every feature or exception behaves as expected.

1. A normal arrival at the real entrance

Ask a participant to use the intended phone and QR display under normal lighting. Let them follow the written instructions without coaching. Check that the expected attendance record appears for the right employee.

Observe the physical process as well as the screen. A code that requires awkward positioning or blocks a doorway needs a better location before expansion.

2. The end-of-day action

Ask the employee to demonstrate the departure routine your company expects. Confirm what appears in the attendance history and whether the administrator can find the record.

Do not assume a successful arrival teaches departure automatically. If participants skip the step, improve the instructions and repeat the demonstration.

3. An unresolved or missed scan

Walk through the agreed exception process using a test situation. Ask the participant whom they contact, which details they provide and how they learn the reviewed outcome.

Keep this distinct from automatic correction functionality. Confirm supported product behavior and let the authorized company reviewer decide any actual adjustment. Our missed-scan guide helps define the internal route.

4. An employee reviewing personal records

ScanAttendance describes personal attendance history for employees. Have a participant locate a known entry and explain how they would raise an unexpected difference.

Check that the person uses the correct account. Avoid using real credentials in shared demonstration notes or exposing unrelated employee details during a group walkthrough.

5. The administrator’s reporting handoff

Ask the administrator to find the agreed date range and employee group. If your intended plan includes the necessary export, have the receiving reviewer inspect a sample.

Confirm current plan features before treating an untested reporting requirement as complete. An export option does not establish compatibility with every payroll tool; test the recipient’s requirements separately.

Decide from recorded outcomes

Mark each scenario ready, needs adjustment or not tested. Name the person responsible for follow-up and identify any provider question still open. Our pilot scorecard can organize the decision.

A useful test ends with a clear next step: expand, improve an instruction or confirm a requirement. That makes the buying decision more concrete than a list of features alone.

Create your ScanAttendance account, compare plans or discuss your test requirements with sales.
